The tunnels are designed as follow:
# Build and Tested by a Farmer for the homeowner and commercial industry.
# We do not use standard HDPE Water Pipes, but HDPE pipes especially excluded with extra support.
# All spacers supplied are 1.5m Long and made of aluminium to be maintenance free.
 
Placement And Erection:
Greenhouse tunnels are designed to be placed directly onto the ground, they are not designed to be erected on paved areas or slabs, this is due to anchoring, the polyurethane and Netting covers on our walk-in tunnels have an extra 20cm of skirting material  which is designed to be sunk / buried in the ground to prevent it being pulled up by strong gusts of wind.
 
Greenhouse tunnels should also be placed on level ground with good drainage. It is not ideal to place the green house in rainwater run off areas or areas prone to flooding or marsh type conditions after rains.
 
Greenhouses can handle wind and storms however it is not ideal to place your greenhouse in a very exposed areas subject to very strong winds, if you live in areas like the Cape and the coastal areas of KZN that are subject to quiet severe gusts of wind it is better to place the greenhouse in a area that has some form of wind break like trees, walls or a structure like a house or barn.
